Mother and baby placement
Imani supported living limited provides therapeutic placements for mother and baby. Our accommodations are clean, secure and fully furnished to meet mother and baby’s needs. There is adequate food, bed linen and other essentials available for emergency same day placements. Bedrooms are set to comfort start to a newborn with their mother, father or both. Mothers access to a shared bathroom and kitchen. At each unit there is CCTV externally at the front, side and back. Inside the properties there is CCTV in the communal areas and in the bedroom for initial placement.
At the step-down provision bedroom consists with or without cameras. Support staff are on site 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We ensure babies are safe to grow and develop attachment to their primary care givers. Mothers can develop safe, nurturing parenting and maintain consist- ence routines for babies, self-reliance and self-care skills. The supported accommodation delivers a service that enables them to make informed decisions concerning their present and future, so they can achieve positive relationship, safe care for their newborn to tuned and successful transition into independence living in the community.
We offer short-term, long-term support and emergency placements. All mothers and babies are allocated a support worker, parenting worker and as a baseline receive 5 hours of key worker support per week. However, our placement can offer to provide higher package of evidence-based parenting support such as incredible years, Triple P intervention and parenting assessment, PAMS parenting assessment, Freedom program or other therapeutic interventions around DV or substance misuse at the placement.
